Sewer Line Replacement & Pipe Bursting at Guestville Avenue, York, Toronto

The existing sewer line at this Guestville Avenue property in York, Toronto required replacement due to a damaged section of underground piping. To restore reliable drainage while limiting excavation, pipe bursting technology was used for part of the sewer replacement. The project also included installation of an exterior backwater valve to help protect the property from future sewer backups.

The Pryde Group Corp. crew accessed the existing sewer line and replaced approximately 5 feet of sewer pipe inside the property and another 5 feet outside using pipe bursting technology.

The damaged sewer section was removed and replaced with new piping and fittings, with proper gravel bedding installed to support the new line and maintain stable drainage. An exterior backwater valve was also installed to help prevent sewage from backing up into the property.

The new sewer pipe was then connected to the existing city plastic sewer connection. After completing the sewer line replacement, pipe bursting, backwater valve installation, and municipal sewer connection, our team restored the excavated areas and left the site clean.
