Sewer Line Repair & Root Intrusion Removal at Cedar Brae Boulevard, Scarborough, ON

Project Overview
Significant tree root intrusion was discovered inside the existing sewer system at this Cedar Brae Boulevard property in Scarborough. The roots were heavily restricting the line and increasing the risk of recurring blockages, slow drainage, and sewer backups. The affected pipe sections required excavation, removal, and replacement to restore reliable drainage.
Work Completed
The Pryde Group Corp. crew excavated the affected exterior sewer sections and opened the existing line to access the areas impacted by severe tree root intrusion. The root growth was removed, and damaged or compromised sections of the sewer pipe were taken out.
New PVC sewer piping was installed and properly aligned with the existing sewer system. The new sections were placed on a gravel base to provide stable support before backfilling.
Our team also installed multiple new sewer cleanout access points to make future camera inspections, drain cleaning, and routine maintenance easier. After completing the new pipe connections and cleanout installations, the excavation was prepared for backfilling and restoration.
