This Mississauga property required improved basement flood protection and reliable drainage during heavy rainfall and power outages. During excavation, our team discovered significant root intrusion around the underground drain connection, which had damaged the connection and restricted proper water flow. The project included installing a new sump pump system and repairing the affected underground drain section.

The Pryde Group Corp. team installed a new sump pump system equipped with a battery backup to provide continued flood protection during power outages. A check valve and discharge piping were also installed to help prevent water from flowing back into the system and to direct it safely away from the property.

During the excavation work, the damaged underground drain connection was exposed. Our crew removed the intrusive roots and blockage, repaired the affected connection, and restored proper drainage.

After the sump pump installation and underground drain repair were completed, the entire system was tested. The pump, battery backup, check valve, and discharge line were checked to confirm that all components were operating correctly and providing dependable basement flood protection.
