Sump Pump, Backwater Valve & Sewer Line Repair at Ridgeview Ave, St. Catharines, ON

This Ridgeview Ave property in St. Catharines required a comprehensive basement drainage and sewer upgrade. Approximately 7 feet of sewer pipe had been damaged by root intrusion, while the existing weeping tile system required modification to improve foundation drainage. The project combined sewer repair, sump pump installation, backwater valve installation, and weeping tile redirection to provide better protection against groundwater-related flooding and sewer backups.

The Pryde Group Corp. crew replaced approximately 7 feet of root-damaged sewer pipe and completed the necessary exterior excavation to access and upgrade the drainage system. A new backwater valve was installed to help protect the basement from sewage backing up through the sanitary sewer system.

Our team also installed a new sump pump system and disconnected the existing weeping tile from the sanitary sewer. The weeping tile was redirected to the new sump pump system so groundwater collected around the foundation can be discharged safely away from the home.

The project included new drainage connections, proper backfilling, and concrete restoration following completion of the interior sewer work. Pryde Group Corp. also assisted the homeowner with the required documentation for the City of St. Catharines basement flooding protection subsidy/rebate program, with eligible work potentially qualifying for up to $5,000 in rebates.
